What is Life Teen?
Mission
Statement:
The Life Teen Youth Ministry creates an environment to lead teenagers into
a deeper relationship with God through Jesus Christ and His Church,
utilizing three components; celebration of the Eucharist, the teachings of
Christ and the Church, and fellowship filled with love and acceptance.
Life Teen is an international Catholic
movement that serves the Church by providing resources and faith
experiences that help lead teens closer to Christ. Life Teen is 100% Catholic. What started out as a youth
group at St. Timothy's in Mesa, Arizona, has grown into the most prolific
youth ministry in the Catholic Church. Every Sunday evening over 120,000
teenagers attend a Life Teen Mass and Life Night with over 950 programs
stretching around the globe into 20 countries. Pope John Paul II was an advocate of this ministry.
Who can participate in Life Teen?
Life Teen is for high school students in
grades 9 thru 12.
The EDGE is for middle school students in grades 6 thru 8.

St.
Rose Life Teen Prayer: Lord God, Heavenly Father, we see your
benevolent hand upon us in planting the seed of Life Teen in our parish
family. We give you thanks and praise for answering our prayers. Now
strengthen our will and desire to attend to the successful growth of this
ministry, giving it the care and nurturing that it requires. May your
steadfast hand navigate our path. May the fire of the Holy Spirit burn in
our hearts so that we can meet the spiritual needs of our youth. And keep
our eyes ever fixed upon Jesus Christ every step of this journey, ever
mindful that our efforts are for His glory and not our own. God bless St.
Rose. God bless our youth. We ask these things through Christ, Our
Lord. Amen. ~ Stepanek/ Yoko

The Great Commission
"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of
the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age." [NAB Matt.
28:19,20]
